About Us

We’d Go Back to the ’90s If We Could

the90s.ca is owned and operated by brothers Matthew Wright and Doug Wright through Ever Wright Group Inc., an Ontario-based company built around entertainment, nostalgia and unforgettable experiences.

We love the ’90s—the music, movies, games, toys, fashion, arcades, video stores, mixtapes, mall culture and the feeling that every weekend had the potential to become a story you would remember forever.

Honestly, we’d go back if we could.

Since nobody has invented a reliable time machine yet, we decided to do the next best thing: bring as much of the decade back as possible.

That is the idea behind the90s.ca.

From nostalgia-packed mystery boxes to large-scale live events, our goal is to help people reconnect with the things they grew up with, rediscover forgotten favourites and introduce a new generation to the colourful, strange and endlessly fun world of the 1990s.

More Than a Mystery Box

Our mystery boxes are designed to feel like opening a forgotten closet, visiting an old-school video store, digging through a comic shop and discovering the greatest yard sale of all time—without knowing exactly what you will find.

Boxes may include retro video games, toys, trading cards, Magic: The Gathering cards, comic books, sports cards, POGs and slammers, Walkmans, Discmans, cassette tapes, DVDs, VHS tapes, headphones, boomboxes, troll dolls, Tamagotchis, band and movie merchandise, shirts, candy, novelty items and rare collectibles.

Some items may be brand new, while others may be used, vintage or previously loved. Conditions vary, but every box is built around one simple promise:

Customers always receive more value than they pay for.

The 90s Fun Fair Is Coming

Beginning in Fall 2026, the90s.ca plans to launch the 90s Fun Fair in Burlington, Ontario.

This will not be a small themed night with a playlist and a few decorations. The vision is a full-scale, immersive celebration of the decade.

The 90s Fun Fair will bring together entertainment, games, food, music, comedy, shopping and hands-on attractions under one roof.

Guests can expect:

  • Huge ’90s video dance parties
  • A full carnival midway with ’90s-inspired games
  • Retro arcade and console gaming lounges
  • Photo booths
  • Claw machines
  • Comedians and magicians
  • Face painting
  • ’90s pop-up merchandise shops
  • Cotton candy
  • Jones Soda
  • Ring Pops and nostalgic candy
  • Usherettes and interactive event staff
  • Music, lights, video screens and immersive décor
  • Collectibles, toys, fashion and pop-culture surprises

The event is being created for Millennials and Gen X, but everyone will be welcome. Whether you lived through the decade, caught the tail end of it or simply love its style and culture, the goal is to make walking through the doors feel like stepping into 1996.

Why We’re Doing This

The ’90s were not perfect, but they felt different.

Entertainment was more physical. Music came with liner notes. Movies came from the video store. Games were played beside your friends instead of through a headset. Collectibles were traded at school. Photos were printed. Friday nights felt like an event.

We want to bring some of that excitement back.

the90s.ca is about more than selling products. It is about creating moments that make people laugh, remember, reconnect and say:

“I completely forgot about that.”

That is the reaction we are chasing with every mystery box and every future event.
